Profile

I’m Benjamin

—  a South African-born, London-based voice narrator with a background that’s anything but typical.

My professional life has been spent in the fast-moving world of commodity markets, where I’ve delivered live analysis to professional audiences, produced voice-over work for corporate and instructional content, and spent years making complex information feel clear, confident, and human. That experience has given me a voice that’s naturally authoritative without being stiff, and a communicator’s instinct for pacing, emphasis, and keeping a listener engaged.

What I’m drawn to as a narrator is the full breadth of non-fiction — history, science, biography, true crime, travel, culture, sport, current affairs. The books I want to bring to life are the ones that make you feel smarter, more curious, or more connected to the world by the time you finish them. I’m particularly at home with material that has texture and depth — writing that respects the listener’s intelligence.

My accent is genuinely one of a kind: shaped by a South African upbringing and years living and working in England, it sits somewhere between the two in a way that listeners tend to find distinctive and easy to spend time with.

    • Voice-over experience across corporate, instructional and marketing content
    • Live professional presenting — commodity market analysis and summaries

I’m currently accepting new projects — particularly non-fiction titles under 30,000 words. If you have a manuscript that deserves a voice with depth and distinction, I’d love to hear about it.
